Crowborough Community First Responders
Do you know how many #defibrillator units are in our area? We suspect there are more, but we currently have 33 listed on our website > https://crowborough-cfr.co.uk/2014/public-access-defibrillators/location-list/
Most of these units are owned/maintained by us, but we have identified others in the area.
Each #PublicAccessDefibrillator requires around £1,300-£1,600 to purchase and install, depending on the specification. We rely entirely on donations and members of the public doing sponsored fundraising for those that we are able to deploy, so if you are able, please see how you can donate towards future units. For anyone that saw 'Ambulance Code: RED' on television last night, you will have seen how one of these devices played a key role in saving the life of a 74 year old male who went into #CardiacArrest.
It is not just your donations that allow us to deploy these units, but our excellent partnerships with EireMed, Sussex Electrical LTD, SelectaDNA and the owners of the sites they are located at. We are so grateful because with your generosity and our partners, our team could not achieve our planned deployments in our area, and continue providing these devices which we know have help save lives of local people. ...
