\nMrs Jennifer Tate
\n<\/strong>
\nMrs\u00a0 Jennifer Tate became Patron of Crowborough Community First Responders in July 2016. Married to David, a former High Sheriff of East Sussex and current serving Deputy Lieutenant, they have 2 sons and moved to\u00a0Crowborough\u00a0in 1971, having also lived abroad for 6 years, spending time in Miami and Zambia in connection with David’s work at Tate & Lyle. Jennifer’s interests include\u00a0piano, tennis, skiing\u00a0and golf in which she has\u00a0not only played for the\u00a0county, but served as County President. Other interests\u00a0include breeding and showing sheep, and a staged event walking her sheep over London Bridge raised over \u00a347,000 for charity. Actively fundraising for charities over the last 15 years, the Bridge Ladder that Jennifer runs has donated the funds to our scheme that have allowed the scheme to purchase in full 2 AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators), a vital potentially lifesaving piece of equipment.
\nJennifer and David are also Legacy Ambassadors for the Tate Galleries<\/p>\n

PRESIDENT<\/strong>
\nMrs Dawn Stephen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dawn, a former Detective with Sussex Police, is the Landlady of the Bricklayers Arms in Crowborough, the pub she and her husband Bill took over in February 2008. Sadly in September 2023, Bill suffered a cardiac arrest. A member of the Crowborough CFR team was first on scene and along with colleagues from South East Coast Ambulance, attempted to resuscitate Bill, but sadly he passed away. Since then, Dawn has been raising money for our Charity to fund Public Access Defibrillators. The initial fundraising, raised over \u00a36,000 and allowed us to install 5 new Public Access Defibrillators in locations that were relevant to Bill & Dawn. All of the fundraising that Dawn undertakes goes into the Bill Stephen Memorial Fund, and continues to help us increase and maintain the number of units in the community. The amazing commitment Dawn has shown to fundraising for our Charity, saw her named as the Charity’s President in May 2024<\/p>\n

The charity receives no central funding and relies entirely on donations to deliver our services into the local community. We have no members of staff receiving a salary. The charity is staffed and run entirely by volunteers, allowing maximum reinvestment of funds raised, back into the community<\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees responsible for managing the Charity, it’s activities, compliance with it’s constitution and legal obligations<\/p>\n
